Filming and editing in Ibiza
I filmed and edited this Ibiza video production for Sandra Macias, the owner of Boombastic Swimwear. Sandra was interested in creating a couple of marketing and promotional videos for her Ibiza Boombastic Swimwear label.
Ibiza video planning
At the start of the project, I talked with Sandra and found out her ideas and the style of video that she was looking for. As well as filming some of the Boombastic swimwear costumes on models Sandra also required some filming at her shop in Ibiza town. Together we planned a schedule that would work for everybody. Sandra knew some models that she wanted to use and so booked them for filming.
Ibiza video production
I filmed all the footage on one sunny Ibizan day. In the morning I filmed in the Boombastic shop located in Ibiza Town. In the afternoon I filmed the models at Sandra’s home swimming pool. The local models (Marianella Ciwiero and Lucia Nowell) took it in turns to film a single shot and then a two-shot wearing each of the different costumes. We had some funky tunes playing all afternoon by the poolside that day which helped to create a fun atmosphere for the whole team. The natural sunlight was boosted with a 4ft reflector. We were assisted on the day by Mandy Gray who helped with make-up, styling and the essential reflector bounce.
Ibiza video editing
After filming, I then edited together the footage on location in Ibiza using Avid Media Composer running on a MacBookPro. A specially composed music track had been commissioned from my talented musician sister JacquelineLa on SOUNDCLOUD. After editing, I shared the video with Sandra and made any changes that she requested. I delivered several different edited versions which Sandra used as marketing videos to promote her Boombastic swimwear brand. The films were also uploaded to Vimeo and YouTube.
