Biography
Hi, thank you for visiting my website. With over 15 years of experience in broadcast production and post-production, I have been working as a freelance filmmaker, video editor and videographer since 2009. My background of many years of working and training at the BBC (following my RAF military service) illustrates my dependable and trustworthy nature. I very much enjoy helping people and always seek the best outcomes for those who commission me to work on their film projects.
Professional video production advice to help your project
My key aim is to deliver a film or video of the highest quality standards that you would be completely satisfied with. I would be delighted to work with you to create your ideal film or video that we could both be proud of, either by filming and editing your project or editing your own film/photography. I take great pride in being highly responsive to all client’s enquiries and offer my complete dedication to each and every project commission.
Personable and friendly
With a friendly, reassuring and personable nature, I can work well with a diverse range of people either individually or as part of a team. I'm very experienced in the technique of conducting interviews while filming. I make every effort to ensure that interviewees feel comfortable and relaxed and can project the best of their personalities and projects while they are being filmed. When editing films and videos, I always spend a great deal of time selecting the very best takes from all the footage that I have filmed or that has been presented to me.
A brief summary of my background
I was born in Norwich and, after completing my secondary education there, spent a period at Norwich City College studying for an HNC in Electronics. I then joined the Royal Air Force at the age of 18, where I gained a BTEC Diploma in Aeronautical engineering. After completing my contract and returning to ‘civvy street’, I subsequently embarked on my second career which was with the BBC at Television Centre, London. My specialisation there was in broadcast production and post-production. In 2009, I left the BBC and, with the benefit of all the skills obtained there, I proceeded to pursue my current career as a London based freelance editor, filmmaker and videographer. I keep fit with an early morning run and enjoy working out at my local gym. I have a passion for healthy eating and cooking for friends. European travel, chilling on hot sandy beaches and climbing mountains are all things I love to do.
