Self-shooting producer editor

Central London based

Working as a self-shooting producer editor, I deliver films and videos. BBC trained and with over 15-years broadcast experience I film and edit high quality and engaging content from concept through to delivery.

2012 showreel

To illustrate some of my skills I edited this fun showreel which includes some of my favourite images from my 2012 projects. The video starts with an animating title sequence that I created for a BBC film about helping people facing redundancy to reinvent themselves. This is followed by a sequence of shots from some of the charity films, community projects and arts-based films that I produced, filmed and edited. I’ve managed to edit in some of the memorable times and fun people that I en-counted that year both around the UK and abroad as well.

Favourite shot

One of my favourite shots – the side on motorbike shot – was filmed while riding pillion through sunny Wales on the back of a Honda Blackbird. I spent the whole weekend with a motorcycle club and filmed some great footage and edited them into a promotional film. Lucky for me we had great weather.

Editing

It’s always fun editing a show-reel together and a nice reminder of the previous year’s projects. Once the show-reel is edited, I can feel free to delete lots of the previous year’s media and make some disc space for new projects. I try to make a fresh showreel every few years so that I can demonstrate my development and the diversity of my skills.

Music

The funky music track ‘capture the remembrance’ was specially composed by Brighton based creative sister. Using licenced production music or copyright free music enables you to share your edit more widely without breaching anyone’s copyright. Many online sites now ‘listen’ to any uploaded music to ensure that it conforms to their sites guidelines.
