Do you need a fast turnaround video for social media after a live event? This case study shows how I filmed and edited seven branded videos during London Climate Action Week 2026, delivering LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts content with a rapid turnaround for the Clean Air Fund.

Fast turnaround social media video brief

The Clean Air Fund commissioned me to film the one-day event. Their scope overview read:

“The videos should be filmed on-site, edited with a rapid turnaround, colour-graded, and delivered ready for upload on social channels.”

I received a comprehensive briefing document with visual references in Google Docs. The client updated this document with new information as the project progressed.

The deliverables were for both LinkedIn (1:1) and YouTube Shorts (9:16).

All deliverables required editing the interview-to-camera with additional b-roll, photographs, on-screen subtitling, names, titles, and the brand logo, all in line with their brand guidelines.

What did this social media video production involve?

The main event took place in the Foyle Room, an event space at the National Theatre on the South Bank in London.

Supporting each interviewee and directing them as required I filmed and sound recording a series of direct-to-camera addresses.

The people I was scheduled to film pieces to camera with were:

Jane Burston OBE – CEO and Founder of the Clean Air Fund

Valerie Hickey – Director for Environment, World Bank Group

Maria Augusta Arrunda – Inbio, Brazil

Areli Carreon – Bicitekas & Mamás y Papás por el Cima México

In addition, I was briefed to film a range of additional footage, which included:

  • Capturing spokespeople presenting during sessions (listed as a priority)
  • B-roll of venue
  • Balcony views of the London skyline
  • Audience interaction and reaction shots
  • General hub activity and movement
  • Exterior establishing shots
  • Branding, signage

The biggest production challenges

A separate room – Buffini Chao Deck – had been designated for the social media filming session. However, on the morning of the event, it quickly became apparent that this space was no longer available for the designated filming. As a result, I quickly identified alternative suitable spaces to resolve this.

The client also asked me to film one speaker’s entire presentation at short notice. Working with the National Theatre AV technician, I connected my radio transmitter to the venue’s sound desk. This allowed me to record the presentation with clean, synchronised audio. Planning ahead and packing extra equipment let me record mic sound with the visuals, fulfilling my client’s additional request.

How I delivered a fast turnaround video

My workflow for this project included:

  • Prepared, tested and packed my kit the day before
  • Arrived early to assess the venue
  • Filmed the event from multiple angles throughout the day
  • Recorded UHD 4:2:2 50p footage with professional audio
  • Edited 9:16 and 1:1 versions for different platforms
  • Added subtitles, branding and colour grading
  • Delivered upload-ready files within the agreed turnaround

This project combined my freelance videographer and video editor services to create platform-ready vertical reels with a rapid turnaround.

  • 7 branded social media films delivered
  • 2 aspect ratios: 9:16 and 1:1
  • 150 GB of UHD footage captured
  • Edited selection of UHD B-roll delivered
  • Whole presentation of guest speaker delivered next day
  • Filmed and edited independently during a very busy live international event
