Freelance London Cameraman
As a freelance cameraman, my previous clients included broadcasters like the BBC and RTE. I've also worked with many charities, corporations, institutions and production companies.
Camerawork genres
Genres I have worked across include drama, documentary, factual, entertainment, corporate, music and promotion.
Filming projects include dramatic recreations on location, private and public promotional events, live gigs, and music-based projects. I'm adept at filming behind-the-scenes promos, elaborate studio shoots, and operatic and staged theatrical events.
As a freelance cameraman, I also film single and multi-camera interviews. I've also filmed for entrepreneurs, business people and individuals. Many examples of these wide-ranging commissions are featured in my showreel.
Director of Photography
As a Director of Photography, I've worked on many short film projects and documentaries, where I was responsible for setting the lighting, camera angles, framing, and camera operation.
My DoP experience has encompassed directing single and multi-camera crews in a studio setting or on location. I can also multitask as required, often stepping into additional roles such as Director to any actors or talent on location as necessary.
I enjoy supporting producers and have provided location and costume advice, set design and art direction.
Owner operator
As an owner-operator with an extensive kit based in Vauxhall Central London, I can easily travel to any Central London location with my mobile filming kit.
I am both creative and technically minded. With my BBC training and professional background in broadcast post-production, I understand the range of camera shots required for any deliverable or edit.
My work has included travelling throughout the UK and Europe. You can view my camerawork skills in my video portfolio.
Multi-camera filming
I can work independently, using multiple cameras to film interviews, creative projects, performances, and staged events. Working on my own, I have previously filmed with up to 6 cameras simultaneously.
As an experienced and multi-skilled camera operator, I take great pride in my work. I am adept at working efficiently, whether with or without additional crew.
Lighting for filming
I've set up and used various lighting equipment, including that provided in filming studios. My portable lighting units for filming on-location include bi-colour LED spotlights by Aputure and Dedo.
I also have a range of LED flat panels of various sizes and a wide range of light-modifying equipment, including Aputure Light Domes and an Aputure Lantern.
Filming with sound recording
I am practised in high-quality sound recording. This includes managing sound recording solutions for various productions, panel debates, theatrically staged operatic events and other live performances.
I record sound using a selection of professional microphones, including models from Sennheiser and Tram. I use a Tascam 6-track digital audio recorder to record multi-track recordings from a sound desk or AV team feed.
Camera operator editor
As a camera operator editor, I film and edit short-form content, promotional material, music and performance videos and documentaries.
I am adept at producing, filming and editing professional, high-quality and engaging content. I am a very experienced video editor.
