Introduction video with subtitles
I made this ‘Welcome to my video production website’ introduction video on my own. I find this to be a helpful way to learn and consolidate existing knowledge.
It was filmed in 6K 16:9 on the primary camera, which allowed me to add a slow ‘move-out’ during editing for the duration of this video.
I used a Glide Gear Pro teleprompter, which I controlled remotely using my phone. I found the most reliable way to connect my mobile to my iPad Teleprompter Pro app was the LAN via a web browser option. The pro version of the app is a paid for upgrade but allows remote control. Useful when filming on your own.
Sound was recorded using a Tram 50 lavalier microphone taped to my skin under my shirt and connected to a Sennheiser radio transmitter.
For lighting, I used an Amaran 300c with a light dome and grid and a 150c with a lantern modifier. Two Dedo spotlights were also used, one as a backlight and one with a projector and gobo to create the golden mottled background. The Amaran lights could also be controlled from my phone using the Sidus Link app.
I filmed this production with three cameras, all tripod-mounted and locked off, with two cameras filming behind-the-scenes footage in 4K.
My creative aim for this production was to illustrate my experience of filming and editing for both 16:9 and 9:16 formats. A 9:16 version has also been created from the filmed footage.
I hope this welcome to my video production website introduction video will help communicate my skills and personality to visitors to my website.
